Will we care about experiencing events on the internet, together?

Write was one of the last things on my Sunday catch up to-do list. So I was sitting here, watching the Coachella feed on YouTube, trying to think of what to write tonight.

I kept getting pulled to watch Channel 2 of the feed, featuring Andrew Bird. The music was good, and energy better.

I love that Coachella has made this happen. Invested in bringing this experience, in some form, to everyone who can’t be there. I don’t think this is just broadcast. It’s not a television show. It’s a little voyeuristic, a little energizing, and it allows us to feel like I’m a little part of the experience. And apparently I’m not the only one.

Asychronicity is great. Except when it’s not. Like at a live show.

I think we’ll see more synchronous shared events like this - live, high definition expansion of a high energy live experience to many more who can’t be there directly.

Now, DRE and Snoop. Damn. Let’s do this.

Avatar I like to work with smart people to get great products to the right markets.

That started with building low cost water technologies in Senegal and Ethiopia. More recently I worked with AngelList to help startups and investors date better. I'm currently working with Greylock.
